Laravel-powered e-commerce for Ayurvedic products.
AR Ayurveda was selling Ayurvedic products through social media and word of mouth, but had no online storefront. I built their complete e-commerce website from scratch -- product catalog, cart, checkout with Razorpay payments, customer accounts, reviews, and a responsive design that works across all devices.
Beyond building the storefront, the real goal was organic discoverability. The Ayurvedic products market is competitive online, and the business needed to rank well on search engines from day one. Every page had to be SEO-optimized -- proper meta tags, structured data, clean URLs, fast load times, and crawlable content.
I chose Laravel because it gave me rapid development with built-in security features (CSRF protection, parameterized queries) and a clean MVC structure. Razorpay handles payment processing with support for UPI, cards, and net banking. I built the product catalog to be fully dynamic with MySQL -- categories, variants, images, and pricing are all manageable through the separate React admin panel. The frontend uses Bootstrap with custom responsive layouts, and I implemented product search with filters, customer reviews with ratings, and user account management with order history.
The site became the foundation of AR Ayurveda's online presence. SEO efforts paid off -- the site started ranking alongside established competitors for key Ayurvedic product terms. This project eventually spawned three more projects (the admin panel, order room, and Android app), making it the cornerstone of an entire product ecosystem I built.
